Aspire Magazine – idea in progress

Hiya

I’ve been working on my magazine idea for a couple of months, and have finished a 16-page dummy. It’s called Aspire Magazine, and is a magazine by autistics, for autistics.

If published, the maagzine will initially be 72 pages long, with:

• four pages dedicated to editorial/letters
• four news pages
• an international column detailing the situation for autistics in a certain country
• at least six features
• a celebrity interview
• creative writing – poems, opinion pieces, short stories, book samples
• visual art
• music, film, tv, game, book and radio reviews
• an agony-aunt slot under the name ‘Agony Auntie-Social’

If I find anyone who’s interested in working on it, and just as importantly, a publisher, then hopefully it’ll take off, as there isn’t a magazine out there just for us on the spectrum.
